OE Tage in Osijek – Part VII
Theater And Little Alien
In case you wonder what the theater was about or how it looked like, ask the lady who told me not to take pictures. t’was some Oedoen von Horvath remake about identity and relationships in a money driven world – as far as I remember through the veil of anger
Took place in the city theater, which is a very nice classic building, and so was the buffet after the show, or more precise the room where the buffet was set up. The hordes which were anxious for plundering the feeders diminished my ambition to take more pictures in turn.
After we had finished our coffee at the terrace we moved to the cinema to see “Little Alien” from Nina Kusturica, about the problems as well as everyday life of refugees in what I would call Fort Europe, with focus on Austria. The presentation of the film was followed by a panel discussion with one of the film’s players Jawid Najafi, member of mobilefilm Nora Friedel and managing director of mobilefilm and director and producer of “Little Alien” Nina Kusturica.
Well, that was late, but the audience showed staying power as well as rich interest in the topic. At least I think so, because the discussion was almost exclusively held in Croatian, which counts to the languages I don’t speak, along with the other 5604 (source of number of languages: wikipedia)
After a long back and forth concerning for example who goes with whom by car and so on we eventually managed to go to Tufna club, obviously THE place to party for catharsis after cultural overload. This was pitch dark, so not many pictures from there (honestly I was done for the day and didn’t want to carry a flash in one hand, beer in the other hand – since I never use on camera flash. If someone is interested how parties look with my off camera flash technique, go here).
